Omar (Ahmet), un musulmà radical de nacionalitat anglesa, ha creat una cèl·lula terrorista de la què formen part el seu germà Waj (Novak), un noi molt simple, Barry (Lindsay), un extremista que odia els blancs, i Fessal (Akhtar), un aprensiu fabricant de bombes. Mentre que Omar i Waj estan al Pakistan en un camp d'entrenament mujaidí, Barry recluta a Hassan (Alí), un aspirant a rapero. Quan Omar torna a Gran Bretanya, porta amb ell un pla: un atac suïcida amb bomba contra un objectiu occidental insòlit.
